We are at the half way mark of the guest bathroom/Joshua’s bathroom makeover for The One Room Challenge. I am so excited to be a guest participant for the 5th time!
The One Room Challenge is where 20 Featured Designers/Bloggers, hand selected by Linda of Calling It Home Blog, to makeover a room in their home or a client’s home over a six week period, and blog about the progress. Hundreds of other designers/bloggers are invited to participate as well – All working toward the wonderful and well-anticipated grand finale on week number 6! It is always exciting to see all the amazing finished rooms revealed.
So you know where we started?
Well kinda. It started as a brand new builder grade bathroom, and the above was the result of the demolition. The beige tiles and run of the mill cabinetry were prime for an upgrade, but on a savvy budget
So what did we accomplish this week? Well, we got a few things done, but not as much as I was hoping to. The first part of the week was spent finishing up the shower and floor tiles.
I decided to go with the light gray grout for both the walls and flooring. The glazed floor tile looks a bit less glossy after being grouted, which is what I was hoping for. I love the contrast!
Take a look at what the shower looks like now. I had to downgrade to a regular frame-less shower, as the grid style was going to take a bit longer to come in. A bit bummed, but it will be fine
Next week we will turn our attention to the cabinetry modifications, counter top, electrical and paint.
I ended up choosing the beautiful Chinoiserie fabric that I love so much! It should be arriving any day now. I am just a sucker for a good looking Chinoiserie
I think this great pop of color will definitely finish off this bathroom nicely
Head on over to The One Room Challenge to check out the progress of the featured participants. It is always so exciting to see what they have going on
Come back next week for more updates on the Guest Bathroom/Joshua’s Bathroom makeover.
Wishing You Beauty And Inspiration!
