3 Things To Do When Your Designer Announces She's Going To High Point Market

If you are about to embark on a renovation or decorating project, then you may want to get familiar with High Point Market.

High Point Market is basically the Design Week of the interior design industry. It is the world's largest furniture market that happens in High Point, North Carolina every Spring and Fall. It is attended by designers and others within the design industry from all over the world. Designers go to see what's new in the world of furnishings and home fashion.

High Point Market covers an entire city with several buildings containing millions of square feet of showrooms. Designers not only get to see the new introductions and what's new in technology from the vendors, we also attend educational seminars, networking events, and of course, parties. It is a great way to connect with other designers, connect with our vendors and sales representatives, and most importantly, experience and see first-hand the products that we specify for our clients.

Even though consumers cannot attend High Point Market, they can benefit in a big way from working with a designer who is committed to attending most markets. Why should that matter to you? Well, you want to work with a design firm who understands that investing in their business is an important part of providing an exceptional client experience.

You want a designer who values the importance of working with great vendors with the best quality products; who values continuing education; who is knowledgeable about the products they introduce to you; and one who stays on the cutting edge of technological advances in the furnishings world.

A designer who makes the investment into attending markets will likely be more inspired, have more product knowledge, and able to show you things and ideas you would not have dreamed of in a million years. It is for these reasons that we travel to High Point twice per year usually so that we can be the best designer possible for our clients. We are also committed to attending international furniture markets like Maison et Objet, Paris, that we attended a few months ago

So what are the three things you should do when your designer, or a designer whose work you admire (hint, hint) announces that she is going to High Point Market?

1- You call her and book a consultation right away! Why? Because after seeing your home, she is bound to see beautiful products that would be perfect for your home. She will keep her eyes open for the unique pieces that are sure to create that personal touch in your home. I would be happy to keep my eyes open for your project. Book your consultation HERE. Currently we have our Spring Promo in full swing. You get $100 off our consultation fee with coupon code SpringConsult

2- You retain her to do some actual sourcing for you. This a great time to invite us out to see your space and we will begin sourcing some new and amazing products for your home, even if you are not quite ready to kickstart your project. While we are technically not shopping for a full project for you while we are at market, we will be searching for the unique inspired pieces that we can begin to build the design from upon our return to the office. Book a 10 hour Designer On Call Time block HERE to retain us for sourcing while at market. This retainer goes towards the design fee for your project

3- You can follow along and engage with us on social media. No doubt, we will be posting up a storm on Facebook and Instagram. We would love for you to follow us and leave comments on the products that you love.

This Spring. I will be taking my daughter Courtney along for the trip. Double the fun! I am so excited about that.
