So imagine with me for a moment that it is the year 2027 and you are looking back; reflecting on how you lived your life, and possibly pondering what you could have done differently. Is living your best life in your home even a consideration?

It happens to the best of us, we work hard to achieve our versions of success. We even play hard, taking the dream vacation every so often. I had the pleasure of working with a young couple recently. We just finished up the living room and breakfast room and will be getting started on the foyer very soon. These are pictures of the day we did photography. Real pictures to come soon, so stay tuned.

This couple understood the importance of creating a space that represents them and the way they want to live. They wanted to be able to entertain friends and family, be able to relax after long days at work, and a comfortable space to play with their young son. They had worked with an interior designer before me – doing their master bedroom first. Their plan is to work on one room at a time over the next few years, and I am happy to be a part of their goal to creating a beautiful home where they can live their best life.

I know personally that they both have very demanding careers, and are raising a toddler, so having a relaxing space is essential to them. I was sure to keep the color scheme neutral with a bit of color scattered around the room. I included lots of storage for toys, and surfaces that are easily cleaned for life’s little messes.
